Galloping Ahead Saddlery – Where the horse and rider come first!

At Galloping Ahead Saddlery the horse and rider really do come first. We aim to match you with your perfect saddle, no matter what the circumstances. Whether you are a happy hacker, looking for a saddle for your child and pony, or are competing at a top level, we will do our best to match you with a saddle that both fits the horse, rider and your budget.

We pride ourselves in providing honest and respectful customer service. We are commited to creating and maintaining a company and brand you can trust. Our holistic approach looks at the bigger picture taking the whole horse into consideration, we are proud to be recommended by many body workers in our area. In addition to Osteopaths, Chiroprators, Physiotherapists and Soft Tissue Therapists, we work closely with Trainers, Vets and Farriers where appropriate. The horse is at the heart of everything we do.

Straight from the horse’s mouth!

“The business started firstly, almost by accident, by trying to do right by one horse. A seed was planted, a fascination was born. My journey started, my knowledge started to grow and my future pathway became clear.

After my own equestrian journey over many years, I am passionate and committed to helping others. We all have hopes and dreams with what we want to achieve, it is a complex journey and the relationship between horses and rider is everything. The saddle and tack are a key element in how we communicate and get the best out of our animals.

The horse has no voice! It is our responsibility as riders, owners, and equine professionals to put the right saddle on their back. To fully assess the fit, interpret their way of going, comfort and to also realise when things change and can start to go wrong.  Saddle fit is an integral part of a big jigsaw in the happiness and health of our animals, as well as our own. Comfort is important but so is confidence, no matter what you want to achieve, whether that is a hack down the lane or competing in the next grand prix dressage competition, I want to help. I want to help with knowledge and reassurance, in that you are making the right decision with one of the most expensive equestrian purchases you will make, the saddle.”
